Our ancestors went to the Caribbean and many other places to produce salt, since tidal and climatically conditions where perfect but where they right?

The contributing effect of these mechanisms is understood analysed and put in place over a period of 4000 years.

But why did we not made a new step when new technologies where available, we have pumps, plastics and many other tools to produce salt in a more sophisticated way. Pumping brine from salt layers in the earth or mining seems to be economical as well as continuing to use the ponds as we did for centuries.

The global players in the Salt game have heavily invested in the various production systems and are occupying big production sites in the world.

All of them are producing mainly for their home market and only 25 % is for export however with an annual production of 300 million metric tons there are at least 75 million tons moving over the high seas. (Apart from the movements of vacuum salt, Chlorine, caustic soda, soda ash etc.)

Salt prices are roughly $25 per metric ton and transportation cost is more or less the same so we moving 75 mm X 25 X 25 = $ 46,875 MM value over the earth.

Since salt is an important raw material for nearly 14.000 products it can be interesting to produce salt on the spot where we need it and eliminate the transportation cost ,value for all of us is less pollution and lower prices for many products !.

What is required?

- Location near the shore.

- Seawater nearby (not all water is salt).

- Limited rainfall.

- Wind.

- Temperature above 1 C. if T is higher it helps but is not a requirement.

- The Zonnewater evaporation accelerator, permanent one time investment.

The production of Solar Salt does not require heat from the sun and does not depend on tidal circumstance to produce solar salt you need wind, limited or no rain and the Zonnewater evaporation system.

Existing solar ponds (marshes) can profit from our products since our very cheap system allows them to increase output with 200 to 400 % since evaporation speed will increase with that percentage.

The system can not be placed in the crystallisation ponds we developed for these ponds another (not renewable) but again cheap system.
