„Family Well“ and „Agri Well“

Zonnewater BV developed an optimized solar thermal distillation system. It is intended to produce premium drinking water as well as water for agricultural applications from different available sources in tropical and sub-tropical locations.

Water sources include but are not limited to:
Ocean water
Groundwater with mineral contaminants (e.g. Arsenic)
Degraded wells
Streams with mineral contamination

Operation principles and features

Optimized two stage solar distillation utilizing:
Separated evaporation and (cooled) condensation chambers with dynamic heat recycling Patented natural fibre mixture as evaporation surface increaser, taking advantage of natural nano-effectsAperture extension by moving into 3rd dimension and using cubicle collector instead of flat collectorApplication of mirrors with spectral optimization on the shadow sides to further increase collector aperture & energy inputPatented air cooling and heat storing mechanisms Optimized Photovoltaic powered micro controlled dynamic air flowManual or automated cleaning intervals with

„Family Well“
Single unit similar to sketch; covers one square meter of surface area

Included 1 air flow system with microcontroller photovoltaic panel and necessary heavy-duty electronic parts, 1 evaporation and 1 condensation chamber, all required piping for air and water flow, catchment container, heavy duty mirrors.

Output: 40 litres / day at 30°C ambient temperature

Application example: Production of highest grade premium drinking water for one family in locations with access to saltwater or contaminated water.

Base price: Euro 975 plus applicable local taxes


„Agri Well“

Projected, based upon tested AS Family Well unit:

Included: 1 micro controlled airflow system as above with additionally required piping, 1 condensation chamber, 5 evaporation chambers, 10 mirrors, properly dimensioned catchment, feeding and distribution system for air and water, lifecycle as Family Well.

Output: 200 litres / day at 30°C ambient temperature

Application examples:

Scalable tropical irrigation in combination with drinking water production
Refining available brackish water for agricultural purposes by mixing (further increases output, depends on local water quality).

In principle there is no limit to the number of Aqua Solaris Agri-Wells that can operate in combination.
